  • Le Planteur Restaurant

    Established in 1997, this highly-regarded fine dining restaurant is situated in a beautifully landscaped garden within proximity of the city center. The historic red brick manor dates back to the start of the British period; carefully restored to its original form, the building comprises a blend of colonial design with charming Myanmar influences.   • House of Memories

    Visitors are welcomed like family to this eatery, set within a colonial-style building, well over a century old. The restaurant, aptly named, graces the former residence of the Nath Family, still featuring various pieces of memorabilia. Traditional Myanmar food is the highlight here, along with a variety of Chinese and Western-style dishes.     The kitchen of this social enterprise is serviced by young, underprivileged students of the Shwe Sa Bwe in-house culinary school. All the proceeds of the restaurant go back into the training facilities, administration costs, and wages for the students. At times mistaken for simply being a good cause, the French cuisine will impress with twists of Asian influence. The three-course set menu is changed regularly, but there is always a delicious selection of dishes on offer.

  • Padonmar Restaurant
