To fully enjoy the trekking experience in the remote Southern Shan hills, travelers will need specific equipment to ensure their safety and comfort. Essential items include a 20L backpack to carry personal belongings, waterproof hiking shoes to protect feet from getting wet, and a windbreaker to stay warm and dry during windy and rainy conditions.
Additionally, trekking shorts and pants and a trekking t-shirt or shirt are recommended to allow ease of movement and ventilation. Gloves and trekking socks are also essential to protect hands and feet from scratches and blisters. Sun glasses and a hat can shield the eyes and face from the harsh sun, while sun cream will protect the skin from sunburn.
