Travel Itinerary
Start your day with a unique experience as you head to Pansodan Jetty in downtown Yangon and board a ferry alongside hundreds of locals for a 10-minute ride to Dala. Once you arrive, take a trishaw, a traditional rickshaw, and explore the town. Exploring and discovering the hidden gems of Dala is best done through the city’s oldest mode of transportation – the TRISHAW. This traditional three-wheeled vehicle was once the most popular and only mode of transportation in Yangon during the olden days, and it remains an authentic and charming way to experience the local culture and way of life in Dala. Ride around the villages, enjoy the quiet streets, and wave to the friendly locals.
Throughout your visit, make stops to admire the golden stupas, monasteries, rice fields, and local workshops. In addition to interacting with friendly locals, this tour also places a significant emphasis on history. A visit to the Shwesayan pagoda will offer a profound understanding and appreciation of the historical significance of this iconic landmark. Witness the local way of life as you observe the people collecting drinking water from the pond with their buckets. Don’t forget to snap some photos of the picturesque scenes along the way.
After an eventful morning, you can either head back to your hotel or continue sightseeing in Yangon. A visit to the charming Dala village provides a snapshot of life in a small Burmese community. This is an ideal destination for travelers seeking a refreshing change from Myanmar’s bustling tourist spots, as it offers a peaceful and authentic experience of the simple Burmese village lifestyle.
