A little bit about Elephant coach
The Elephant Coach is an extraordinary feat of reconstruction and restoration. Painstakingly rebuilt after an original postcolonial Chevrolet passenger bus from the 1940s, these coaches seamlessly blend the charm of yesteryear with the comfort of modern-day travel. Handcrafted with care, the interior features natural and locally-sourced materials such as Myanmar teak and ironwood, as well as exquisite wood carvings and Shan cotton fabrics. With a seating capacity reduced to 6 to 8 passengers for maximum comfort, you’ll feel like royalty as you journey through Yangon. Enjoy the cool air from two separate air-conditioning systems, read by the warm glow of reading lights, and sip on soft drinks from the on-board mini-bar, all while admiring the beautiful wooden parquet floors. A friendly ‘coach hostess’ is on hand to attend to your needs. With three coaches available (one 8-seater and two 6-seaters), a total of 20 seats are available per trip. It’s an experience unlike any other, and one you’ll treasure for years to come.
