The Secretariat Office: Discover the history of Yangon’s colonial past with a visit to the Secretariat Office. This imposing building exemplifies Victorian architecture and served as the administrative seat of British Burma. The site is also a place of great historical significance as it was where General Aung San, the father of Modern Myanmar, and six cabinet members were assassinated in 1947.
