Travel itinerary

  • Day 1

    Embark on a mesmerizing journey as you begin at Maing Thauk Bridge, setting off at approximately 8:30 a.m. Along the way to Lwelem village, you’ll visit the revered Tawya monastery, where tranquility and spirituality converge. Marvel at the breathtaking landscape and behold the captivating views of Inle Lake, immersing yourself in its natural splendor.

    Indulge in a delectable lunch, graciously served in a local house at Lwelem village, featuring authentic Pa-O traditional cuisine. Energized and satisfied, you’ll then proceed to Inn Ne, a remarkable CBT project village, where you’ll spend the night in a community lodge. As dusk falls, prepare to be enthralled by a captivating traditional dance and music show showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of the villagers.

    Explore the CBT project’s complexities to learn more about how it was carried out and the Pa-O people’s cherished way of life. Engage in activities that celebrate their rich heritage, such as traditional hand weaving, the art of bamboo handicraft making, and the seasonal farming processes involving cheroot leaves, turmeric, beans, garlic, and more.

  • Day 2

    Awaken to the gentle embrace of a sunrise, blessing the morning with its golden rays. After a hearty breakfast, venture forth with a knowledgeable community guide. Explore the CBT project’s complexities to learn more about how it was carried out and the Pa-O people’s beloved way of life. Engage in activities that celebrate their rich heritage, such as traditional hand weaving, the art of bamboo handicraft making, and the seasonal farming processes involving cheroot leaves, turmeric, beans, garlic, and more.

    You will then be invited to participate in the preparation of a delicious lunch that the locals have meticulously planned, allowing you to get to know their flavors and culinary customs. After the dinner, a respected village elder will regale you with enthralling tales that will help you understand the significance and history of the community.

    As the day draws to a close, a short walk to the mountaintop, just five minutes from the community lodge, rewards you with a breathtaking sunset. In the evening, be enthralled once again as the villagers showcase their remarkable traditional dance and music performances. Retire for a restful overnight stay at the community lodge, nestled amidst the serene surroundings.

    Before saying goodbye and continuing on to Tha Pyay Kone village, take part in a tree-planting effort that will have a long-lasting effect on the community’s sustainable endeavors. Experience the splendor of the expansive tea plantations, thriving avocado trees, and vibrant orange farms that dot the countryside along the journey.

    Savor a delightful lunch at Naunglay, rejuvenating your energy for the next adventure. Explore a bamboo basket-making family workshop, witnessing the artisans at work and gaining a deeper understanding of the local way of life. On your return journey to Konechangone, you’ll pass by a captivating vegetable garden and orchard, showcasing nature’s abundance. Finally, make your way to Thale Oo (Alemyaung) village boat jetty, renowned for its bird sanctuary, before returning to your hotel by boat.
