Travel itinerary

  • Day 01: Pyin Oo Lwin – Ngwe Ywar – Pyin Shan – River bank of Dothtaawaddy (L, D)

    Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel before being picked up for a drive to Ngwe Ywar village. Upon arrival, embark on a picturesque walk through the hills, enjoying the idyllic scenery for approximately one and a half hours until reaching the village for a lunch break.

    Afterward, continue the walk for another three hours, descending through a dense forest and jungle until you reach the bank of the Dothtaawaddy River. Here, you have the opportunity to swim, fish, and even go bamboo rafting before enjoying dinner by the campfire. Bamboo rafting is a thrilling activity that allows you to navigate the waters of the Dothtaawaddy River using rafts made primarily of bamboo. It provides a unique and enjoyable way to appreciate the serene beauty of the river and its surroundings. Spend the night at Bamboo Camp, an overnight accommodation option amidst the natural surroundings.

  • Day 02: Pyin Oo Lwin – Waterfall – Trek around villages – Tin Shan tribal village (B, L)

    Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the river as you enjoy breakfast. Resume your trek, which lasts approximately one and a half hours, as you cross streams until reaching a waterfall, where you’ll stop for lunch.

    Following lunch, embark on a three-hour ascent to Thatyatkone (Mango Hill) village. From there, continue trekking for an additional two hours, passing through paddy fields and experiencing the captivating scenery of various villages until you arrive at the Tin Shan tribal village. As you explore the village, you will have the chance to interact with the friendly villagers, witness their daily activities, and immerse yourself in their rich cultural heritage.

    Finally, drive back to Pyin Oo Lwin and transfer to your hotel.
