Traveling via Taunggyi, the capital city, you’ll be enthralled by the picturesque sights en route to the awe-inspiring Kakku pagoda complex, a hidden gem awaiting your exploration (approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes). Nestled within the captivating landscapes of Shan State, the Kakku Pagoda Complex unveils an extraordinary sight of nearly 2500 Buddhist stupas, standing proudly in perfectly aligned rows.

    As you make your way, make a delightful stop at the Phyu Nge monastery, boasting a rich history of over 150 years, and discover the charm of the Pa-O villages along the way. Prepare to be mesmerized by the ancient Kakku pagoda complex, a sacred pilgrimage site. In the evening, ascend to the mountain’s peak, just a 5-minute walk from the community lodge, to witness a spellbinding sunset. Relax and unwind as you spend the night in the cozy community lodge.

    Awaken to a delightful breakfast and join the villagers in a rewarding activity of re-planting around the CBT village, contributing to the preservation of their natural environment.

    Embark on your journey at 9:00 AM from the community lodge, immersing yourself in the local way of life as you walk through the captivating Hti Ne village. Along the way, immerse yourself in the intricate world of local handicrafts, experiencing the artistry firsthand. Trek down the mountainside, enveloped by the breathtaking scenery, until you reach the enchanting Don Htithakaw village. Continue your exploration to Moe Kaung village, where a delightful lunch awaits.

    After lunch, set out on a mesmerizing path, weaving through seasonal crop plantations, crossing quaint bridges, and passing by picturesque villages. Your journey leads you to the Magyikone boat jetty, where you’ll embark on a boat ride back to your hotel, basking in the tranquility of the waterways.
