  • Pindaya is a captivating town located approximately 45 km away from Kalaw in Myanmar. It is renowned for its remarkable limestone caves, which house a collection of temples, including a pagoda. The Pindaya cave is a notable attraction, stretching an impressive length of 490 feet. It is believed to have existed for over 200 million years and sits at an elevation of 5,000 meters above sea level.   • Pindaya – Htut Ni – See Kya Inn – Pindaya

    After enjoying a hearty breakfast, depart by car to reach your starting point.

    Your journey starts with a picturesque stroll towards the Danu tribe’s Htut Ni, a beautiful village. You will be treated to spectacular vistas of cheroot, tea, damsons, and mango plantations along the way. You may take in the surroundings’ stunning natural splendor as the walk meanders along the charming valley level.

    A well-deserved lunch break awaits before you embark on a steep ascent towards See Kya Inn, another fascinating Danu village. Traditionally, the Danu tribe relied on agriculture as their main livelihood, cultivating crops such as tea, cheroot (a type of Burmese cigar), damsons (a type of plum), and various fruits. They have a deep connection to the land and are skilled farmers. The approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes climb will reward you with stunning vistas and a deeper insight into the local culture.

    From there, you will continue your journey towards Kyay Twin Gone, approximately 2 hours away. Here, you will have the opportunity to marvel at the landscapes and admire the panoramic scenery of Pindaya while experiencing the traditional process of making pickled tea leaves. Pickled tea leaves also hold cultural importance in Myanmar. They are often offered as a gesture of hospitality to guests and are an integral part of traditional ceremonies and festivals.
